Essentially what the a yoga strap

    1. Stand up straight and wrap the strap around your toes. Bend forward and pull your upper body downwards towards your toes. This helps you to achieve a stretch that you would normally feel when you are touching your toes.

    1. Sit down on the floor and place your legs straight out in front of you. Loop the yoga strap around your feet and pull on the strap to help you bend further in an attempt to touch your toes.

    1. Hold the strap in both your hands and put your arms behind your back. Pull your shoulders back for a good shoulder stretch.

The yoga strap not only helps you achieve these stretching poses but it also helps you to keep your spine straight which is very important when practicing yoga. By keeping your spine straight, you avoid injury that may incur while performing various yoga poses.

The yoga strap is also helpful when you are trying to maintain balance. One good balance pose that you can use the strap with is the tree pose. Wrap the strap around your waist and then insert your foot into the end of the strap to help you maintain better balance.
